EVENTS
Part of our mandate at Collective City is to share these documentaries and stories with the broader public. Sometimes we do this through free public screenings at institutions like the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art and the community run Revue Cinema. Collective City’s films and database provide valuable educational resources for secondary school, community college and university arts programs.
If you would like to have our films donated to your institution or arrange an event with Collective City, please get in touch with Moira McGrath at
We Made This!
Three artist pioneers in the artist-led community come together for a casual conversation reflecting on their experience and looking at the future of artist empowered events: Lisa Neighbour, a founding member of Red Head Gallery and along with Carlo Cesta, they run “Beauty Supply” in their home – an “ad hoc” community gallery; Richard Mongiat, a founding member of LOOP gallery and a co-director of Collective City – a digital archive of artist-led activity in Toronto; with David McClyment interviewing them. McClyment is a current member of Red Head, and whose show, “then, there’s this…” will be on display in the gallery. Saturday, September 20, 3 to 4 pm. FREE.

For the inaugural event of Something to Think About:’s new cultural gathering space in Toronto🇨🇦, we’re tuning our dial to welcome Washington, D.C. based artist Naoco Wowsugi with Quantum Radio – A Liminal Sound Workshop.
You are invited to step into a workshop that explores the body as a living transceiver—tuning, receiving, and transmitting subtle vibrations. Inspired by the invisible exchanges at the quantum level, this gong bath, combined with a deep listening session, extends that awareness into human perception, interaction, and connection. Through sound, silence, vibration, and breath, you open new pathways to expanded states of listening and being.
Quantum Radio opens a field of discovery, reflection, and transformation — physically, mentally, intellectually, and spiritually — revealing the subtle currents that link us to one another and to the vast web of existence.
Tune in to one of three 90-minute sessions:
