ARTERY

Artery was started in 1994 and its first issue came out in the spring of 1995 . It was published by the Parkdale Village Arts Collective originally planned as a publication for all arts. The idea was to serve the community with a modest publication and at the same time market the activities of the art collective.

Artery was intended to be a quarterly but volunteer driven it never quite achived that. It had a loyal following but ran out of steam. Sadly, it ended just as it was needed even more. Lola had stopped publishing in 2003 after a seven year run and there was a need for something like Artery. The final issue was published as a broadsheet on newsprint with more issues printed. That one hit the streets in the Summer of 2007.
