Collective XX consisted of artists Mfawny Ashmore, Elizabeth Fearon, Fiona Smyth, Marie De Sousa and K D Thornton. Their exhibition Proto took place at Beaver Hall Gallery (29 McCaul St.) in 2013. The intentionality of the members of the collective consisted of considerations of mutual support, shared ideas and skill. A feminist mandate existed in so far as feminism should really be condidered humanism – it is about support for all races, creeds, colours and sexual orientations.
