Brown Spot was an association of artists, some of whom were more recently based in Glasgow, and operated in Toronto from 1995 to 1996. Brown Spot was comprised of artists Jill Henderson, Shannon Wadsworth, Marc Streifling, Jon Veenema and Michael Buckland. Their project, The John Veenema Memorial Exhibition at Mercer Union curated by Jennifer McMackon & Max Streicheri included individual as well as collaborative works and promised candy, commerce and daily changes of batteries.
