From the ashes of the Ydessa Gallery on Toronto’s Queen St. West in 1988, the soon to be stranded Ydessa stable of artists decided to band together to form the commercial venture Grace Hopper. Grace Hopper was a one time exhibition that took place in 25000 square feet of a raw factory floor at 1400 Dupont St. West and Lansdowne Ave. in 1989. The show featured artists Liz Magor, Spring Hurlbut, Shelagh Alexander, John Massey, Sandra Meigs, Fast Wurms (Kim Kozzi, Dai Skuse, Napoleon Brusso), Michael Fernandez, Rebecca Garrett and Kim Adams.
