The artists in NetherMind share an affinity with the physical. The sculptures, videos and installations are often interactive or experiential in nature. They appeal directly to the senses through tactility, sound, smell, light or movement. Common in the work is a sense of dark humour expressed through the absurdity or perverse playfulness in the juxtaposition of unexpected materials, forms and concepts.The goal of the NetherMind collective is to create site-specific installation art in unusual architectural contexts.
