Red Tree artists’ collective is mandated to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary and cross-cultural
practices with professional artists as well as with cultural workers and with community members. The
collective’s participatory artistic practice and curatorial process have been in place as programming
policy since its inception in 1989. Red Tree formed as a result of and in response to the flux and
synthesis of artistic/political cultural practice both locally and internationally. We engage local, regional
and international professional artists, students and community groups/organizations.
